Pandora Radio


If you haven't heard of it, I recommend checking out Pandora Radio. My dad turned me on to this a while back, and I've really been enjoying it.

It's free Internet "radio" where you can create your own stations based on the Music Genome Project. You can pick one artist, and it will play a song representative of that artist, and then play songs that are related, and you can shape the station by giving songs thumbs up or down. For example, I started a Led Zeppelin station for when I'm in a rock-n-roll mood, so it plays not just Zep but songs that are musically related. They also have good genre stations. I've been listening to the trip-hop station lately and quite enjoying it. Since we don't get any radio at all at our house out here in Kaeleku, I sometimes listen to iTunes channels, but this gives even more flexibility. And as they play it displays info about the song, so it is a great way to discover new artists. The audio quality also is very good, at least for my setup. Definitely worth checking out at pandora.com.
